Does this model have upgradeable RAM? LG went to the dark side with their more recent Gram models by not allowing the RAM to be upgraded. Their older models allowed it and there's plenty of room, so it's clearly deliberate to keep users from doing it. Other than that, the Gram is fantastic for non gaming, portability, battery life and a solid screen.
I bought and returned TWO LG Grams, different models, for reliability issues. Much happier with Lenovo.
Weird, I've owned several and set up about a half dozen for friends and family with no issues and in fact they we fantastic. Which models specifically did you have issues with?

Well there are a lot of comments on SD about how horrible/nonexistent Lenovo's customer service is. LG has been pretty good in that respect. Every company has products that malfunction but how that company responds when that happens is as important as building a good product.
Most applications 8gb is overkill. I have a laptop with an atom processor and 2gb ram and 32gb ssd that runs win 10 just fine for internet and streaming videos. The main reason people (other than gamers and a very few that actually do intensive work) think they need gobs of ram is because of the ever increasing huge intrusive internet ads that slow page loads. A good ad blocker helps a lot with that.
