If you have an .edu college email inbox that you still have access to you can get an Amazon Student 6-Month Free Trial even if you're not a current student. If you've ever had an .edu college email while attending school and still have access to it's inbox you can easily sign up(I graduated in 2009 and was still able to use my college email to easily sign up for the prime student 6-month trial.)
When you get to the student sign up page on amazon click:
"Having trouble signing up? Click here to signup using your .edu email"
It's right beneath where it says "Graduation Year".
Enter you .edu email and expected graduation year(just make this up) and hit continue and follow onscreen directions. They will send a confirmation to your .edu email inbox. Access your inbox and confirm and you're good to go for 6 months!
Being a Prime Student Member has a lot of additional perks that a regular prime membership doesn't have including free unlimited GRUBHUB deliveries!

I think it's different depending on the school. I actually think it's great that I still have access to my student email as an alumni. I can still use it without any problems.
You obviously haven't gone to college.
You obviously overpaid for private college.
I'm in for close to $150k at a state school, I think I should at least get a gig on the server.
