The brother watch to this is on sale for less, but I like this variant better. I ordered the gray one first but there was a delay in shipping, so I cancelled the gray and picked this one up in its stead.

Like the look of this watch and the size. I've have always been a fan of the eco-drive and for a little over $100 dollars you really can't go wrong. Nice find!

Note that the band it comes with is THICK but overall super watch and pairs well with different straps.

My Casio Edifice EFR-S107 would beg to differ. Then for even cheaper (under $80), there's the MTS-110 series.

All 3 of my watches are sapphire and were between $39 to $89 new with tax. You just gotta look and be patient the $89 one was a shinola I got on clearance not a fan of the brand bit for the price I was happy. The other 2 were frye watches also on clearance and both are sapphire.

Sounds snobbish, but that goes for me too. I think it reflects an overall quality level, and bargains can still be had. I'm not going for a huge watch collection. Quality over quantity.
