My current pair is about t years old, and has chunks missing from both soles, with primarily dirt and forest terrain walking. Will have to explore warranty, but the last pair I had lasted much longer..

I have the 6" and 10" versions (in different colors) but not a GORE-TEX one. For $125 (educator discount), I'm going to try them out. Easy returns from Zappos so I can decide later. Thanks OP!
