Verizon currently has a deal for the Google Pixel 6: "Save up to $700 when you trade in your old or damaged phone with select Unlimited plan", this applies to both new lines and UPGRADES, discount in the form of bill credits, trade-in values vary depending on both model and plan type. See the full breakdown on Google's website here:

Via Verizon's website, I purchased the 128 GB, Stormy Black model, upgrading my existing line. I selected the LG V35 Thinq, AT&T version to trade in. (Pixel 2 XL is my current phone and didn't want to trade it in) Entered the IMEI to confirm and the $350 discount applied.
In addition, I applied the UPGRADE promo code at checkout for another $260 discount. I didn't receive a text or email about the promo code, nor did it show up in "My Offers". I just tried it since multiple members of the SD community mentioned that it worked in past. This, I hope for everyone's sake, isn't a "YMMV" situation. So total price I'll be paying for the phone is $90, which comes out to $3.75 a month for 24 months.
Few things to keep in mind:
-The "Get More" Plan gets you the most value for your trade-in if your "UPGRADING", which is the plan I'm currently on.
-Total doesn't include typical activation fee and surcharges.
-The Pixel 6 Pro also has the same deal, but trade-in value terms are slightly different.
-I'm not sure how long both promos will last, I've tried searching for an end date but was unsuccessful.

This has been the case for the last few years.
Are you sure? I don't mean the newest unlimited plan, I mean the highest/most expensive tier of unlimited. The black Friday deals did not require you to be on the highest tier plans.
