Overall, pretty good deal. By the way, the display is 1080p 300 nits165Hz 100% sRGB high quality display, not the entry level 120Hz 250 nits 60% sRGB one. Full powered RTX 3060, MUX switch and pretty decent battery life and cooling.

How do you verify this model has the 115W TDP 3060 instead of the gimped 80W? Under the Q&A I'm seeing this has the 80W version.

Got this for my son for Xmas, been great so far & hasn't seemed to get super hot with long gaming sessions.

I guess one thing you should keep in mind is the board configuration if are repasting.

There should be thunderbolt on the 3060 model.

Don't know, but check the "Temps and Comfort" section for both near the end for temps and Max CPU load/temps:

Dell
https://laptopmedia.com/review/dell-g15-5511/

HP
https://laptopmedia.com/review/hp...17-ck0000/

I will say kudos to both for making a pretty boring looking laptop - Dell especially, that just blends in. I like that aspect as a non-gamer, "gamers" might want more bling.

If I bought for a desktop replacement general work computer, using VideoEnhance AI as my only non-light task, it'd be HP. Bigger screen, cooler running. I don't need or want a numpad. The heatsinks are not inverted in case I ever need or want to repaste. HP gives you two copper heat spreaders for the NVMe slots.

edit: I choose those reviews because it's pretty much all I care about, Temp and CPU performance. Does the laptop let the CPU stretch its legs and how hot do things get. The gaming stuff doesn't really concern me. There are much more in-depth gaming reviews etc.
