If it's v5 and comes with 8MB flash and 64MB RAM it can be a useful little OpenWRT device.

I agree, there's however a varning 8/64 warning - https://openwrt.org/supported_dev...64_warning

But at $15, I'd rather add $10-15, and get an used Asus AC1900 (regular, or T-Mobile) on eBay.
It won't run Openwrt very well, because of the Broadcom chipset - the wifi's crippled, but it'll run Merlin, DD-WRT, Tomato etc ...
