Lots of extra sugar in these. I understand it's a convenience thing but I wish they would just sweeten it with fruit alone.
Worse deal than what you can get when $0.99-$1.69/8 count when on sale from many grocery stores. Not terrible if you need it but not great per unit.

I have a box of the lower sugar version that expire end of this month. Do I have to rush and finish them or are these good for a specific time after expiration if these are unopened?

I just have a box (tube?) of bulk rolled oats I add to adjust sweetness. They also have plain packets if you like the convenience. I also like to add some powdered milk.

If you are a Costco member, you can pick this up for cheaper in store

Sam's Club has 40 packs of this for $8.24. It comes out to the same cost per package. So this really isn't much of a deal.

Flavors aside, those aren't the same at all.

Each packet of the Costco (non-fruit flavor) weighs 1.435oz.

The fruit ones weigh 1.057oz each.

In other words, I found myself eating 3 of the fruit ones to feel as full as I would with 2 of the non-fruit ones.

Is the taste of fruit strong or mild? I don't want an overwhelming fruity taste

Strong. I usually mix 1 or 2 regular (packets/parts) w/1 flavored for milder taste.
