After 6 months, it still works without a service plan, but it won't call the police.

Get the Ring system for non camera
Get the Wyze system for camera
Both integrate into Amazon/Phone Notification.
By doing this, you do not need to pay any fees. The cameras store data 14 days plus you can add sdcard.
The Ring contact sensors, motion detectors are top notch. The Wyze cameras are cheap and the V3 is indoor and outdoor with motion.

Add the Govee water sensors. On sale for half price on Amazon.
Three systems. When in sale this is the best way to get a very full system at a reasonable cost.
The Wyze cameras sold at Petsmart for 30 bucks is really a good deal. Great picture.'
Forget the ring doorbell. Better to wire the camera at the front door high enough not to be covered.
The purpose of a good security system is NOT to capture the theft....but to get the theft to go to another house without cameras.
The ring is a quality system. I only like Wyze for cameras but not their other products. But other ring addons are very expensive.
