Nice deal, thanks. I just can't justify 256gb in 2022. The recent comparable Microcenter gaming laptops for $1000 had 1tb. Last years models should keep dropping in price.

I agree, not sure how they put a 256gb in a gaming laptop. 512gb would be okay to start and only cost the company $20-$25 more.

I have this model with the i7, 3070 1TB 16GB RAM. I will say the Dell RAM is ridiculously slow so I swapped it out for Corsair vengeance 32GB 2666Mhz, lastly installed 2x 980 Pro. Performs a bit better despite the upgrades. The downside is you have to change the internals to get a better experience. The stock parts are a joke. Really cheap on Dell's end. IO is very minimal had to get a USB hub c adaptor. Buy at your own risk if you're willing to make sacrifices. 🙄

I got this for my kids for Christmas and my only complaint is with the size of the hard drive.

Really shouldn't be selling 15" 1080p screens anymore in 2022, and 256GB ssd is ridiculous.
Remember a 3060 in a laptop is NOT the same as a desktop 3060, its far less powerful.
Maybe it has a niche market for what it is, not something I would buy though.
Are you guys kidding me?
Nitpicking about the hard drive size, when the SSD is probably the easiest and cheapest thing to replace/upgrade? A 512GB M.2 SSD can be had for $40. A 1TB easily under $100. It comes with an extra M.2 slot so you don't even need to reinstall the OS.
It's the build quality and components that can't be replaced that matter.
While it would be nice to have a 1440P screen (which is available on other models) 1080P is just fine for gaming on a 15.6" screen and you'll be able to get better framerates anyway. Standard HD (720P) on the other hand should be banned on all laptops.
This model and the ones recently posted from Microcenter are apples and oranges. The HP Omen was a compelling deal, however. That's long gone though.
Laptop graphics are always slower than their desktop equivalents. That's a given no matter which laptop you buy. This 3060 is the full blown laptop version and performs very well for a laptop graphics card.

1080p is the most recommended display resolution for Laptop gaming till date. May be you don't like that but saying that they shouldn't be selling 1080p screen anymore is kind of lame.

Unless you're one of the people that think 1080 15" screens make games look like 8-bit Atari games.

At roughly $1k even this is a pretty smokin' deal.
