I got mine used for $100, and a knob was missing. I called MItchell, and they graciously sent me a replacement knob, and the potentiometer, just in case I needed that, too. That impressed me that a company was willing to put out of few bucks to invest in their reputation of quality and service.

Also it's fretboard is not rosewood, it's pau ferro, aka Brazilian ironwood.
But, Fender has successfully used it for years. Fender-pau vs rosewood [andertons.co.uk]
inho, I'd spend $200 on this before buying a $200 Chinese Squier.
This is probably worlds better than the cheapo Strat clones that so many people start out with. Very tempting…I haven't played electric regularly in almost 20 years.
Edit: Just checked in with my brother (25-year metal/rock guitarist and drummer) and got his seal of approval. He just can't get over the fugly headpiece!
