I bought one of these. Cut the wire, hooked it up to a Eufy doorbell and then tried a Eufy camera. Did not charge either one, or at least was so slow that it did not make an impact. It was worth the $20 experiment, it is sturdy and has withstood an Ohio summer and winter.

Didnt work for my application, hope it works for yours. Good luck (and someone can have mine for free if they want it!).

In for six. My church has the cameras. Now, it will have the solar panels to go with.

Yes.

I bought two of these refurb'd from Amazon and they're kinda flimsy but work very well. I was lazy so I left the camera at the back of the house at 20% then plugged in the solar panel.. and the one at the front of the house was at 50%. The back camera recharged to 100% in two days and the front house one is going up by a few percent per day. The back gets full afternoon sun, the front gets mostly indirect sunlight -- so, I'm pretty happy.

Basically, never need to recharge them? That's pretty neat

Yup! The backyard one is very low use but the one in the driveway gets a lot of use. So, just a few percentage charge per day is great for me. The one in the garage is wired in and the one on the side of the house is hardwired as well so it's nice not to have to charge any of the cameras mounted up high.

I have 6 of these and haven't hooked up yet. My eves are too deep and shadow the panel and likely need a gutter clip of some kind. Anyone have recommendations for alternative mountings?

Was impressed with how long recharge battery lasts (50% after a month). I did notice the stick up cams furthest from house on Wi-Fi use battery the fastest though.
