PS5 Bundles Will Be In Select Stores on Jan 14th
Visit your local GameStop for a chance to get one in person.
Must be a PowerUp Rewards Pro Member, quantities will be limited.
I do hate the way GS sell these consoles in bundles to "raise" the selling price. But according to some SD users, you may swap the games you don't like in a bundle or get GS credit points as a refund. If you are pretty sure you will spend $200-$300 at GS in the future, you may purchase the bundle, keep the console and return everything else for GS credits.

Car manufacturers need to have the same contracts with their dealers. My heart stops every time I see a story about someone paying 15K over MSRP for a car…
Also, was hoping to trade in a ps4 slim to upgrade. Anyone do that recently? Whats the going rate?

According to other SD user's experience, you can either return other items in bundle and keep the console OR return the entire bundle and re-buy the console right after the return. All you need is a bit of luck. Not all GameStop employees would love to help you with this.
Also, if the bundle includes GamePass or PS Plus, the digital item cannot be returned.

First time I was able to get the $900+ one back in November they made us sign the receipt that we understood that we could not return any item, if doing so it would have to be EVERYTHING in sealed condition, and no, you cannot repurchase the console alone since it's a bundle.
I got another one on the Dec 30th, this time it was printed in the receipt about the No-Return of single items, it'll continue until there are enough units to go around.
You can always get something back selling the games somewhere else.
