Unlike ALL the other laptops below 900$, they have shite displays, this one does not. And it has 16GB ram, 3050ti is Max-P 90w
Keep in mind worst battery in class, replaceable 41wh, so about 2-3 hours.
Respectfully disagree.
While 144hz is decent, it's pretty much the standard for gaming laptops in this price range. As is FHD. Now if it were higher res and 165hz ... that's be an i impressive deal.
And there have been heavily thumbed-up deals on machines with a better 3060 GPU, though admittedly it's usually at the expense of weaker 8gb RAM and/or a smaller hard drive. Which is better really depends on intended use.
My opinion (take with a grain of salt, as I'm not a hardcore gamer) on battery life is that it's of little concern because most if not all gaming machines suck up a lot of juice. It's just assumed that you can't rely on playing very long on battery, so most gamers only play plugged in. Again, just an IMO based on what I've heard from people like my brother that game as much as 40 hours/wk. I'm far from an expert.
I stopped trusting and bothering with mail-in rebates like 20 years ago. And I stopped trusting Newegg like 10 years ago, so this is a double-no for me. Too bad, because I'd consider this otherwise, but leaning towards the $1000 MSI w/ i7 and 3060 at Costco.
Agreed. Nowadays they should at least let you do web submission.
Or just can the BS and make the price the price. The whole MIR model is based on people forgetting to send it in and some trying but doing it wrong, which is kinda crumby. The only thing worse is the Menard's fake 11% off, which is actually 0% off and 11% as store credit later.

You are not considering how much better the display Nits are as compared with other laptops at this price point.

I'll keep up my hopes for lucky clearance at Walmart.
