Items says lead free, but it's made in China. How honest is that label?

Technically it could be used full time I guess.
How are you installing this? Are you not going to put this directly next to the shut off ?
If you are putting a hose between the house line and this I'd question the strength of the hose to sustain full pressure without leaking over time. (Nevermind looks like the person above me was able to do it without a problem)
For those that have questions about lead free or California Prop 65 warning. Here is an answer i found on Amazon from Camco:
" Q: Description says it doesn't contain lead. the packaging and answers here keep claiming it's lead free. is this a scam or what?
A: This item is compliant with all federal and state level low lead laws and is CSA Low Lead Content Certified to NSF/ANSI 372. These laws define Lead Free as "not more than a weighted average of .25% lead when used with respect to the wetted surfaces of pipes, pipe fittings, plumbing fixtures, and fixtures". This fitting meets the Lead Free definition.
The warning you are reading about on our product is related to a law in California called Proposition 65. Proposition 65 requires manufacturers to warn when they potentially expose consumers to one of the substances listed on their 23 page list. Lead (Pb) is one of the items on that list.
Proposition 65 does not clearly define an acceptable level a finished product can contain and many times how much a consumer can be exposed to without warning the consumer. The only sure way to avoid being sued is to warn if there is even a trace.
All brass contains some lead. We keep to the lowest level we can. We share in your frustration with the warnings we must apply, but we have no choice if we wish to sell into California without risk of a lawsuit. Legally we can claim that this fitting is lead free, but we can still be sued if we sell without a warning as the level requirement for compliance to Proposition 65 is not clearly defined. see less

$24 List is a bit of a stretch.... but the $6.76 is reasonable for a non-ball valve. If these were actual ball valves and not simply pressure seated, these would be a deal.
