I've had my HPA300 for over 4 years and it works great, but this one is quite a bit smaller and less powerful. Filters for the HPA300 are affordable to me because I buy 3rd party on Amazon from Veva in 1-2 year packs for under $70. Right now they're under $65 for the 2-year pack. This HPA100 is smaller but I'm sure the filters would be cheap as well.

Just a data point, I discovered sharp plasmacluster ion air purifier - it also deodorizes and kills viruses on air borne particles
