Basically, most of the specific settings (defrost, auto cook/reheat, popcorn, power level, etc.) are on the inside. I don't mind this at all because you open the door anyway when you put the food in. It also makes the outside look a lot more sleek. It definitely has the looks.
Another thing to consider is that time can only be added in 10 second increments. This might be a deal breaker for some who prefer to enter an exact cook time. For me though, my OCD is just fine with multiples of ten.
You can add or reduce time by either pressing the + or - buttons, or on the outside controls you can also swipe left and right between them to quickly adjust the cook time. I find this incredibly useful and timesaving because if you add too much time you can easily dial it back without having to hit Clear and start all over.
Also, it has a singsong type of chime that sounds when the time is up. Personally, I prefer it to the regular, somewhat annoying beeping found on other microwaves, but apparently there is a way to disable the chime completely if you wish to. I remember seeing a YouTube video on how to do that if you need more info.
The overall weight seems to be balanced enough that it doesn't take much effort to open the door without the whole thing shifting, which is useful to know if you're using it on a counter or in its own little nook. This can be very helpful for older folks or those with arthritis who struggle with traditional push-button microwaves. The inside buttons can be hard to see in lower light though, so it is helpful to place it so that things are more at eye level.
The turntable is supported by 6 wheels instead of the typical 3, which helps with balancing taller objects like mugs without it rattling or having to worry about things tipping over inside. The interior is incredibly easy to clean and most times I can just wipe it clean without any issues.
Finally, this unit is not a "full-size" 2 cu. ft. However, I've had no issues with microwaving anything either. As long as you're not trying to defrost a small turkey, which you should never do in the microwave anyway, there should be plenty of space for your average needs. Heating seems to be more even too, with fewer hot and cold spots.
Overall, it's a great-looking and functional appliance with very minor flaws, but those are only downsides if you feel like you would be bothered by them. Otherwise, I think the price is excellent for what you get.
See above for my personal observations

The LMC1575ST model looks much higher end because the glass is tinted consistently across the entire door. On the WalMart specific model MSWN1590L you can clearly see through the glass and see the mesh screen (that all microwaves have; is it sheilding?)...
So I don't think these MSWN1590L are "newer" models at all, but really appear to simply be a WalMart only model that has cost savings in the less attractive non-tinted door (and possibly other internal parts too).
So higher end stores like BestBuy, etc. only carry the nicer looking model LMC1575ST.
