There's a reason there's so many refurbished Dremel brand tools.

they were once pioneers. Which is odd since they're owned by Bosch, and the Bosch 12v rotary tool is ha ds down, the best cordless rotary tool out there. They're a bit pricey, and they seem to NEVER have any discount, but they're worth it!!!

(edit: I'm still getting one to give to the old guy next door. He is always fighting with a cordless.)

I'm not sure what the reason is, but I had the corded one for 4 years and my new dog finally chewed the wire by the handle. I was looking around lowes to find the $80 clearance price and couldn't find it.

This cordless dremel hardly on sale below $80. Knowing that both new and certified refurbished have same 2 years warranty, I'm picking this one since it's cheaper.
