US Bank/State Farm Visa Signature Credit Card - 3% Cash Back On ANY and ALL Insurance Payments (NOT just from State Farm)
I have had this card for a few months now and only use it to pay my insurance bills. This includes my monthly bills from Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance, 2 separate Erie homeowner's insurance bills, State Farm car and truck insurance, and Progressive motorcycle insurance. I can verify that I'm receiving 3% cash back on all of these insurance bill payments. My last billing period total from these was $452.07. On the front of my paper bill there's a box that says Cash Rewards - Earned This Statement with the amount of $13.56. 3% cash back of $452.07 = $13.56. Free money for paying insurance bills! I used to pay my insurance bills with my Citi Double Cash Mastercard but that only gives me 2% cash back, this one gives 3%. I don't know of any other no annual fee credit card that gives that much cash back when paying any insurance bills from any company. Plus, I'm looking forward to receiving up to $300 cash back matched after my 1-year anniversary!
Credit Card Benefits:
*Earn 3% cash back for ANY insurance payments from any company (not just State Farm) up to $4,000 spent annually
*Earn 2% cash back at gas stations, drug stores, grocery stores and on dining, including takeout and food delivery services.
*Earn 1% cash back on all other eligible purchases
*Up to $300 cash back will be matched and added to your account after your one-year anniversary
*No annual fee

Useless card
every year around october, they extend the 3% another year in advance. they are not chase or citibank, they can't promise you 3% forever. even cap1 and discover doesn't give you %% forever, they can cut it off whenever they please. the truth of the matter is usalliance waits to see how the competition stacks up and if everyone else go to 3%, in october they will go to 4% for the following year. . however, in the event usalliance drops this program, i will cut up the card and go back to my fidelity 2%; it's that easy. in the meantime, i can easily spend $20,000 a year on this card.
1% = $200
2% = $400
3% = $600
i would hardly call that "useless." math pwned you every week you "hold out."
and just in case it's not easy to understand the language, the points you accrue in your account do not expire. the tiny print references the 3% accrual rate expires at the end of the year and they put you back on the 2% rate....not the bazillion points in your account, they don't expire. btw, i don't mess around with translations or formulas or redemptions, about every quarter i unload the entire points balance as a statement credit. full disclosure, i believe there is a $50 minimum redemption (which isn't a problem for me) and also i don't think this type of statement credit reduces your payment due so at the end of every period, i still pay the entire statement balance. whatever the points balance expiration details are, doesn't matter to me. redeem promptly.
another negative is i use this card for everything and there's so much activity from all over and so many "big" purchases, their fraud department calls me every month complaining about this or that. hopefully they get used to this since im tired of having to "unblock" the card if i don't answer one of their fraud calls. small bank.
otherwise this is one of the best cards on the market today. it's a sleeper.
