Had a Cuisinart toaster over for years. Switched to a Breville BOV800XL a little over 2 years ago. The Breville SUCKS and I can't wait to go back to a Cuisinart. A waste of $250.

Hmmm... I'll throw out the comment:
Had a Cuisnart for a while now and it SUCKS! Can't wait to switch to something else. A waste of $$$.
Troll? Drive by commentator? It would be nice when folks post a comment one way or another, they would include some useful information (even if anecdotal).
We have a Breville (different model) at work in the break room and it was used daily by multiple people for at least 2 years without any issue. The only fear that I have is the electronics .. if they go, you toss the unit. As the repair can cost more than the original oven unless you pick up a broken unit with the working parts you need. With the old mechanical timers toaster ovens ($10-30), things rarely break... when they do, you also toss them for the same reason but at least you are not out $100-$300.
We currently have Cuisinart at home and have had it for about 3 years. The only issue that we have had is the timer beep is intermittent... sometimes it would beep once, a single dying 'beeeeepp', or no beep at all, rather than the normal 'beep .. beep .. beep .." -- this was about 2 years in. So until the Cusinart completely fails, we use the range's oven timer.
The calibration is all wrong and Breville doesn't care. I like my bread more toasted than many and the 3 out of 7 setting is the most I do. Anything more is burned. Breville thinks this is ok.
The toast is uneven. If you try toasting 6 pieces at once, you get very different levels of toasting between pieces.
The magnet on the door pulls the tray out a bit. But the tray doesn't go in smoothly. It's always a struggle.
The hinge on the left side of the door keeps getting warped and rubbing against the frame. Great metal on metal noise.
And there's a fan on the right side that started making a lot of noise right after the 1 year warranty was up. It's not something that you can easily access so basically half the time I use this I have to whack it hard 2 or 3 times just to get the fan to shut up.

All of this joy for a $250 toaster oven.
