There are lots of lighter weight options if you dont want to lug this around. Promar pvc bait net, or even larger scoop nets (just make sure they're sturdy), kitty litter scoops, strainers, etc. This contraption is great though especially if you're doing bait and wait in a single location and if the sandcrabs are plentiful.
