I was curious about these cheap drives and their advertised specs, so I bought one and it was a little above 900MB/sec according to black magic. This is about the price of a raw drive, so a decent enclosure and cables is a bonus. This makes it a decent transfer disk, as long as you have a USB 3.1 rev 2 connection. (USB 3 is about half the speed, so if you dont have a 3.1 rev2 interface, its not worth the additional money. I compared it to a much fast NVMe drive that I put in a USB 3.1 rev2 enclosure and it was less than 10% faster, no doubt limited by the 3.1 rev 2 protocol. So inside a USB 3.1rev2 enclosure, a faster NVMe isnt going to be faster. Just an FYI, if you willing to spend $60+ for a thunderbolt 3 enclosure, you can get about 50% faster.

I do not know the reliability of this brand, so time will tell. It comes with a short USB-C to USB-C cable and a short USB-C to USB-A cable. I bought the 500GB size for $55.
