I do however like the extra 4Ah HP battery especially if you have some HP tools. So its really a personal preference as both sets will do the same job and value wise, you are getting more bang for the buck as long as you dont mind all the differences listed.
In the end, the extra 4Ah battery wouldnt win me over though as I'd prefer to save the $14 to have the better tools and the newer version batteries that come with them. Good luck with whichever you choose!

This is a better deal for the 3rd battery alone... The brushless tools are nicer, but this is a better deal.

I got the brushed ones as my first Ryobi tools. They work okay, but I have switched to brushless tools in the last few years using HP batteries. Now I have duplicates in 3 tools including the drill and driver. The brushless ones are more powerful but you need the HP batteries for that.
