If you can live with those deficiencies, then the Vizio would be a good choice. If you can't, then Sony it is.
Sony in general is better for out of box calibration (color and white balance accuracy) than just about anyone which may be part of the "more realistic" picture comments. To really get other sets to get color accurate to their full potential requires a real deep dive into specific color settings which usually requires professional calibration, something that tends to be the realm of dedicated videophiles.

As for the Sony, I would only consider the Sony if you were getting the X90J, not the 85.
