I listened to these in the store and I was amazed about how good they sounded. This price is phenomenal compared to what I see online.

I am treating my ears today.

I have a set of the walnut color ones in my bedroom definitely bass heavy. You should update to the newest firmware, Klipsch released a third option to cut the bass even more. Many people prefer this 3rd setting as it is flatter. I like the 2nd setting that only cuts the bass a little.

Newest firmware allows equalizer settings from a Klipch app on your phone, plus other settings. I have the walnut pair connected to a turntable and am happy with them.

Try them without a sub first. The bass is already very powerful, so you might not even need it. I have a Bic f12 with my home theater which has been great.

Any idea on the length of the 4 pin cable to connect both speakers? I need to place them 15ft apart.

I have the walnut ones, the cable is about 13ft to connect between the speakers. Klipsch does sell a 10ft extension cable. They recommend only using one extension though. So about 23ft max distance between speakers.

I got these recently from Costco... I am a bit of a audiophile, but not obsessive. I just like great sound better then the average person.

These have incredible, powerful sound - and are a great replacement for a sound bar. Vocals/mids are great after the firmware update and EQ adjustments to suit the room. This was my first time using the ARC connection from the TV and it really simplifies everything. Totally recommend these if you have the budget. BTW this is not your typical, harsh Klipsch horn sound. If you do some research they have been working on warming up the sounds from the horns. The Fives are one of those newer specs. Warm sound overall, and in my bedroom - there is no way I would ever need a sub. These things have incredible bass. Really surprising!
