This is now on Amazon[amazon.com]. People have liked the micro-USB version for $200, but I'm fine paying $20 more to get a version usable with a modern phone. If you live in the right area, you can get same-day delivery.
I recommend if you are considering this to read up on the battery issue. I had one and was rubbish after letting it sit fully charged for a week.
100% agree. Batteries in these cannot easily be replaced, and FLIR considers them disposable: they're not expected to last more than a year or two. (And in the past, when they have, FLIR has updated their app to brick older models - so even if you crack it and solder in a new pouch battery, you're SOL.). It's not if, but when it'll die.
Thus - if it's something you'd like to use for a couple years or more, better to get a larger standalone handheld model. Nice ones are more expensive, but have better resolution, replaceable batteries, and should last a long time.
Flir makes good ones (TG167/267/297, etc). but HIKMICRO now makes some models that best FLIR on price and have strong reviews.
FYI - the FLIR in the OP is 80x60 resolution. The HIKMICRO E1L is 160x120 - offering 4 times the resolution for ~$350.
