Only for effective use with blow dryer. The vents allow the blow dryer to hit the hair more directly than a solid brush. Otherwise it would be just as quick to use another brush or comb.

I disagree. This is the best brush I have. My hair is easily tangled, but this brush goes right through without breaking or tearing my hair, even when dry.
The original commenter was talking about. How does this quickly dry hair. It doesn't quickly dry hair unless you use a blow dryer. I wasn't commenting on the efficacy of the item as a regular brush.
