$129 was the going sale price for 8TB external HDD's for a good while before the supply chain crunch. It has jumped up recently, so if you are good with Seagate then this is not a bad deal for this size at this time. If you feel good about the data security, then Costco's lenient return policy should cover you if the drive becomes problematic.
