For reference, last month the 25oz bag was $7.02 ($4.50/lb).
A few months ago, the 40oz bag was $$9.48 ($3.80/lb).
Costco has a 2.5lb bag of almonds for $10.49 ($4.20/lb).
These have been as low as $3.14/lb. ($7.85 for the 40oz bag).
40oz roasted lightly salted for $11
or
48oz of steamed not salted for $11.
Starting to eat more almonds, I like snacking and honestly potato chips are terrible for you. It'd be different if they were cheap, but holy hell they're more money than almonds per oz (and by a lot if you get the prices of these comments).
Pistachios still my favorite, but at twice to three times the price of almonds? I'll stick to almonds 90% of the time.
