100% Polyester...a big NO. Never dress your kids in 100% plastic especially overnight.

I'd like to know as well. Polyester is naturally flame-retardant, and the alternative to this would be chemically-treated products. Sure it'll probably melt, but I'd rather a disfigured child than a toasted one.

But seriously, I'm not an expert, so enlighten us please!

I wouldn't. Polyester is fantastic. It doesn't shrink and twist like cotton. Fleece is awesome.

It's also important to buy the kids pajamas without the flame retardant that is banned in Europe for being neurotoxic. Oddly enough, you need to buy the ones with a huge warning tag that the clothing is NOT flame retardant and has to be worn snugly

It's everyone forgetting that lots of people including kids don't like sleeping in hot. Polyester tends to heat up under sheets. Cotton breathes better. Our toddlers never slept comfortably in anything other than cotton.
