Designed to fit a variety of bottle cages on the market
I liked this bottle, but cleaning the lid is a pita. Way too many pieces. I recommend polar bottles with the surge caps. The sport cap gets disgusting quick as the writing collects ick, so I don't recommend those
The caps aren't so easy to clean but I still like these bottles a lot for warm-weather use. If you pre-freeze the bottle (filled maybe 30-40% with your drink) and top off before use, it'll stay cold for hours.
Shipping kills the deal for me.

Each new iteration of the Podium and Podium Chill is getting worse. The previous generations were easier to squeeze and had perfect water-fountain-like flow. The new ones are not easier to clean. Even though it comes apart, the backside of cap has lots of nooks a brush can't quite hit.
I would buy Polar bottles except red nozzles on every color of bottle which clashes with my bike colors.

Really? Hmmm, I see the raised lettering and can figure that it can trap dust, I suppose.
I have a previous version, with the printed labeling on top. The nozzle looks about the same. I love the bottle, and have been using the same ones for probably 6 years? No funk, and I don't really mind about the dirt and dust that accumulates on top. These bottles are only used on the road bike, so if you use it in another setting like your workplace, you'll probably have different standards for cleanliness and appearance.

It's the directions to remove the nipple embosses into the rubber part that gets really gross. If you just use it for one ride and wash it, it's probably fine, but I'll use em just around the house for a few days at a time and the letters in the mouth piece get disgusting after a day max. It's completely unnecessary that the lettering is even there. I ended up replacing all my sport caps with surge caps and they're much less prone to collecting filth.

I came here to say the exact same thing. My daughter joined the mountain biking team and her camelbak podium collected mold and was very hard to take apart. I found the Polar brand water bottles and i replaced everyone's bottles with Polar bottles and surge caps. The best part is Polar bottles are dishwasher safe. These camelbaks maybe fine for more casual riders but if you use it regularly you will see the mold.

We prefer the insulated "Chill" versions of these bottles and they have some 21oz Podium Chill for $8.33 after coupon.

Decent deal, but hard pass
