I'm a fan of Process Lasso and ran into this promotion for CPU Balance Pro, which is a more set and forget solution made by the same company.
It's a simple solution to maintaining responsiveness on your system and generally works well, but be mindful if you run processes intensive background tasks (like video rendering, crypto mining, code compiling, etc.) as this may slow down those tasks to help maintain responsiveness on task upfront (currently using).

In a nutshell, it'll dynamically adjust the priorities of running programs for you so that your system feels more responsive.
Windows allows users to set priorities for programs, this just automates things for you.
Process Lasso takes it further and gives your more specific controls to let you do things like set rules, groups, and override default priorities (my fave).

It still helps. It really depends on how bogged down each core can get by the 1000's of processes that are in queue, but this program just allows certain processes to jump the queue.

as a matter of fact, i think it does exactly that. expect it dynamically adjust it based on foreground tasks
