Here's some info for potential buyers:

I purchased these headphones when they were on sale a year or two years ago for $8-$9, just to see what Amazon headphones can do. Surprisingly, they are not bad.

I compared them with Steelseries 1 wired version and Logitech G933 wireless. I tested them with Xbox series X. The sound is very similar, and so close that it's hard to tell a difference. Sound is clear, but it does not wow you, at this price range it shouldn't.

From Xbox chat I've asked how my mic sounds with these, responses have consistently been good and clear.

The only downside at this price range that I can tell is the build quality and the comfort, they are plasticky and the fake leather material on the earcups can be a hit or miss for some people. You'd have to see if it's your cup of tea.

Overall, for about $8-$9 I was happy with them and they performed on par with headphones in the $50-$100 range. I'm not sure if I'd bite at $20 just because of how many other choices there are now, but that shouldn't discourage you.
