Now, Gamestop does have a habit of opening NEW games so they have a case to put on the shelf but they don't want the disk / cartridge / DLC codes to get shoplifted. I understand their motivation BUT is also a PITA is you want to gift or might return the new game because it is not "unopened" so appears used. I have in that case made a cashier write on the receipt with their signature or initials that the game was unsealed. Clearly could not be done with any shipped orders though. In reality, unless you plan to resell the game or there is a risk you'll return....what does it matter as long as you get all the retail codes, game, and inserts when you walk out the door. We both know the package is getting opened in the car before you pull away, no shame in that
But selling "used games as new" is about as proven as the chupacabra.

So gamestop lost the case and the idiot still bought the NEW game and a random jewel case? Looks cartridge looks pretty darn new AND how did the prior owner of the "used game" keep the insert but not the case? Logic wins every time. Prove the game was USED. I'll wait.
Oh look, this reddit page "proves" the chupacabra!!!! LOL, you can really attract flies with $&1!.
BTW, if a "novel" is a paragraph in your world, I hate to see one of your 3 line high school essays.
EDIT: Really fun part of your link? The redditor NEVER EVER claimed the game as used, just not in the "new" condition they expected. This is the moment people drop mics...right?
That's my post and it happened to me. Don't need to debate with you. All I did was suggest shopping somewhere else. My bad for trying to save others the hassle.
Every post so far has been hate for GS and then someone defending them. If you don't like them don't post. If you do like them instead of posting a comment to defend them just mark it as not helpful.
Stay on topic people.
If so many people are vocalizing their dislike of Gamestop, there must be some validity to it, no? "Poor Merchant Reputation" is an option when you downvote a deal in this app. My comment suggesting to price match and purchase somewhere else is relevant.

Not new = used (or whatever else you want to call it). Selling not new things as new is fraud.

Sorry, just trying to save others the hassle of dealing with BS claims from kids on the internet who rely on hearsay to shape their worldview...
Nope. It is not a new game if it is opened.

Will this argument fit in my Ford Focus? It's a hatchback.
