My personal favorite air fryer, love this model. Granted, i had only tried a few brands/styles/sizes before it, but this was leagues better for our use. What are other SDrs favs?

I would say yes, but it should fit under most cabinets. But with the size, we can do a whole bag of fries (just need to shake it a couple times mid cook to get all sides browned nicely). I even cook fresh salmon in it, and it comes out unreal. However for the salmon, I cant cut the strips wider than 1.5", or it does this thing where it doesnt cook even or comes out tough. At 1.5", I can put a few strips in there, and OMG, 9 min later at 400 degrees (we never preheat), its perfect. A really thick piece you may need to bump it to 10min. I can even line the bottom of the tray and not have it affect the results (for the salmon). I am sure there are people with vids online that know way more than me....but even at its size, it is a stationary item on my counter, used multiple times a day.

Does it have a plastic / metal smell? Got one from Costco and the smell hasn't gone away after months. Might just return it.

I've owned this before. Great value for the size. Only gripe, it's the older style and harder to clean. Newer air fryer models have a full removable basket from the oil/grease catch base.

I got a previous sd Insignia that was recalled and that one has a timer which means, some do find a wifi switch for it. I guess the timer can go bad on it making it to continue cooking making it a fire hazard. It didn't specify what the defect is. This one is digital, so, it probably doesn't work with a wifi switch. $50 gift card for BB though. So, I need a replacement. I'm waiting to read your reviews.

I have never owned an air fryer and have heard multiple people tell me its not worth the hype as you can do the same thing in a convection oven and can cook more quantity in an oven. Also heard about uneven cooking in an air fryer. Pls comment about your experience if you use/used one. Thanks..
