It gives you more room in the shower with out touching the curtain. We've had them for years and not for a belly but I suppose that would also help …haha

I just got the tension version of this from last deal for 29. Great product, very sturdy, only 2 days into the use of it so not 100% but as strong as it feels I seriously doubt it'll ever move even a millimeter. Very happy and highly recommend.

It doesn't really give you any more belly room. What it does is give you more shoulder room. Especially for tall people and people with broad shoulders, a curved shower rod is the difference between a normal, comfortable shower and constantly peeling the shower curtain off of your back and shoulders.
