The Sovol SO-2 with the 5W laser is on sale for $159 directly at Sovol's store. Other stores sell it for $199 or more.
You can also use it with a pen or a plotter knife to write on paper or cut paper and stickers (you probably have to buy the vinyl cutter knife additionally).
The capabilities of the 5W laser are: Engraving of wood etc. and also coated metal and brushed stainless steel.
Cutting wood up to 2mm and cutting dark acrylic with multiple passes. It will not engrave other kinds of steel or shiny metal surfaces. If you want a machine that's better at cutting take a look at the 10W compressed spot laser module.
