For the benefit of all, the same day I posted this thread, I added another item for a higher end model, i.e. XM4.
Lo and behold, I received another offer of 20% on that item. Not that enticing though cause they have overpriced XM4.

How would you rate the sound quality of these? Would you say they sound pretty good? With a good bass?
I'm no audiophile. But I tell you Dan the man, at this price, these are a steal. Heavy bass indeed. I haven't tried out with Hi Res audio sources yet though.
Battery life is a farking miracle.
If you get the offer, get em. The only concern I might have is possibly the specific unit may not have been repaired for the original issue, if the original return was for a defect.
Mine were in pristine condition, without the original packaging, but included the carrying case and original Sony USB and audio cables.
