I actually bought this same drive from a different retailer. It was DOA. Returned it and bought something else.

The one and only Seagate drive I have ever bought was DOA when I received it. The first time I fired it up a small puff of black smoke rose up from the PCB. Never again.

I have a seagate barracuda. 4 years of light service, now dead. I expected much more. I have Western digital drives going on 15 years.

The 14TB size is a much better price point. I am seeing sellers offering for $200-210.

I see many people bashing on Seagate Exo drives. My experience comes in differently. Ive had multiple Exos and they arrived in perfect condition. It's been over 2 years now and still no issue. I am loving it. I've had WD before and it was a nightmare.

Exactly. You are paying $90 for an additional 2TB. Not worth it at all IMO.

Bought the 16TB drives because the 14TBs were more than the 16s when I first bought them. No issues with Amazon purchase however the x18 had warranty issues but the x14 was fine.

My son has this HDD.
I can hear him access it from outside his door.
It's that loud.
Luckily, he just archives his game data and school work to it.
