The HP omen with the same specs but 32gb of ram is only 24 bucks more at microcenter
The GPU on that is underpowered, only 115W (if I'm not mistaken). The screen on that is only 340-350 nits. Build quality is a bit inferior to the Legion here.
If I'm paying a premium (+20 bucks more than this Legion) for a gaming laptop, I'd want a GPU with good enough wattage. 32GB RAM won't mean much if the GPU is comparatively shit.
You can easily swap the sticks on this and increase it to 32GB, that would cost you more though, around $150 more, but you can't change the GPU on the Omen.
35% faster for single-core and 62% faster than multi-core, as measured by Geekbench 5 and compared to the Ryzen 7 5800H in the Legion 5 Pro.
Damn so this is a gnarly processor. The 3070ti is like 10 percent better too right? Been debating on hoping back into the pc gaming space and people say these laptops have a giant cooling system 2hich is my biggest paranoia about owning a high spec laptop
