Amazon has Gorilla double sided tape 1.41"x 8yd, gray (pack of 1) for $3.59. Shipping is free w/ Prime or on $25+ orders.

Searched for another post for this and didn't find one. Seemed like a decent deal according to CCC. Never tried this product so cannot speak to its quality (but I did order 1).

Thanks for looking!

Get yourself some VHB tape. Only a little needed. Two 1" strips of 1/4" good enough. Hold for 30 seconds and it'll take fishing line or a putty knife to get it back off as long as a fairly smooth surface. I have stuck right to my door and neighbors also.
This stuff looks like more for carpets and posters. VHB will hold car parts on. I attached metal glass solar panel to RV roof with it. The stuff is crazy strong.
VHB = Very High Bond
thanks for posting op, repped.

sadly, recent verified reviews aren't promising.
is this stuff strong? i have found some of the gorilla products to be more bonobo-like

Would it be advised to use this to attach a ring video doorbell? Or too risky someone would tempt to rip it off the wall lol. Live in quiet residential area, so chances might be low. I've used scotch mounting tape previously for solar sensor lights at the front and garden doorways for a couple years now and they haven't fallen off

No. I tried hanging a plastic grocery bag holder to the side of my freezer. Fell off in the middle of the night. I'm going back to 3M products.

I wouldn't advise tape at all, but I'm guessing you have a reason for not using hardware. So if you want a tape that would be very difficult for someone to rip off—difficult enough for them to think it's screwed on—I would go with this stuff: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082MGZT54

Can I use this to stick a bunch of outdoor patio string lights on vinyl siding of the house? Or to hang paintings on the wall in the house? Thanks.
