These things have about 20-25% THD according to the manufacturer. How worried should I be it would damage appliances if I run it temporarily in emergencies? I know there are no guarantees in life except death and taxes, just curious what y'all's feedback/experience is.

Whats the dba on this? My town requires a max dba of 65 at full power otherwise theyll issue me a violation summon.
I'm not saying this is the one for you, but there are enclosures that can be built cheaply that will knock the sound down quite a bit. Even if you can just direct the sound up it will help. Some internet research may open up your generator options beyond honda

Well seeing most all new appliances, and HVAC Systems use micro processors, I wouldn't if I'm planning ahead...BYMMV, and you did say in an emergency.
I would use it for my well, and pumps though, or buy an invertor generator with lower THD values for peace of mind & better compatibility.
