These are all practice/beginner amps that appear to be modeled after Fender's intro amps (ie... Frontman 10G, Acoustasonic 15, etc). These aren't top of the line, but for a beginner amp you can't beat that price. These, being copies of Fenders, get pretty decent reviews.

This was my first deal post and I'm surprised these received thumbs downs. I ordered the bass amp for myself. Maybe I'll soon learn why this deal isn't popular...$57.60 for an 8-inch, 21-pound, 25-watt bass amp shipped free. It gets 4.5+ on Amazon reviews.

As a guitar player (with decent electric guitar amps already) that wants to dip my toes into learning bass guitar this seemed like a deal. Do you guys know something I don't? lol.

Tough call. Honestly, I think this would be a good intro amp to see if you like Bass guitar. Since you're wife already has a practice amp this might be a side-step. What size is the speaker on that Crate? If she enjoys it so far, I'd upgrade instead of side-step. Once you know you love it, time to spend $300-$500, lol.
