I'm new to switch games and my son really wants this one. I was excited when I saw the sale price but with comments saying it's free elsewhere and a garbage game... I'm second guessing. We only have a switch, no other game system so I'm assuming there's no free option for my son right? Can he play the game himself like on the Wii? That's where he's played it before and I was hoping it would be similar to the Wii game.
Bought last years version because they made the price feel unresistable. "portable basketball, well that sounds ok" WELL IT'S NOT. Totally unplayable performance. Absolute trash version of this game. I assume this year will be the same. Don't fall for it.

Last year 2k21 was reduced to $9.99, and then a month later they dropped it to $5. If they follow the same pattern, it should go down once NBA playoffs are done.

I have the same question
I have like 20 games and my 9 year old played 2K20 the most and now 2K22 after I upgraded the other day. He doesn't really use the online features though, so can't comment about that. He mostly likes to play exhibition games or with friends he has over. He'll occasionally play a season just so he can play in the skills competition.

I didn't even know it was out yet. How's 23? Did they fix the bugs from this years version?
