Excellent deal for new. I have two of these and they're solid machines.

However, be aware that anti-aliasing does not work very well. Other than that, they're amazing...just don't expect AC to support them much.

Slap on a flex plate to help with removal. And keep resin off the knobs.

But before you print anything...put a screen protector on. The screen top layer is the polarizer and any cured resin on there is going to not be fun times for you.
By standard 3D printer do you mean an FDM printer? In terms of the details you get much better quality from resin printer. But the pre and post processes for any resin printer are quite a hassle for a beginner. Also you need a good setup to properly wash and cure the print. But I believe the end result is worth the hassle.

Added another resin printer to the fleet. This one is capable of pretty stunning detail. My Saturn is usually sufficient, but sometimes I want one for super fine details when doing reproductions of sculptures from 3d scans.

The Saturn is also on sale for around this price. Any recommendations between the two?

Wow I bought the other cheaper one a month ago. Wish there was more comment about these printers.

Just bought the Elegoo Mars 3 yesterday for $260.

This has a lot larger print area but *slightly* worse resolution. Do you thing the additional build space is worth it in upgrading to this?

Do they force you into proprietary cutting software or any known issues?

They have their own slicer, I think it's crap. Supported by Lychee slicer. I wouldn't change for the small increase in size. Bigger is actually worse unless you need the space.

What flex plate do you use?

I personally have the Sovol ones, but any of them work. WhamBam is the most widely known/supported brand.

The bigger thing is the screen protector. Absolutely must.
