This is the new style fan that doesn't have the plug. Not a bad deal if you want both items. The fan by itself I think has be less than $80 through fasteners inc.
Gas prices were also less than $3 per gallon last year, so what's your point?
Point is, the battery-only fan deal is not good. If this was for the plug-in version, I'd probably jump on it. I have both versions. The plug-in model, even on battery power out performs the lighter battery-only model.
Naw, I got the fan with the plug and 5ah battery for 120 last year. This deal isn't that great.
Almost all tools and especially batteries have raised in price this past year. I was buying Milwaukee 8.0 batteries for 100 early last year. Can't find those prices now unless it's from a shady character on marketplace.
Are these fans really worth $100 +? It's tempting because I have dewalt tools and I could use another battery, but it's a pricey fan...
I have the older one with a plug and its a great fan! Awesome for camping or as a bedside fan. Moves alot of air for its size and does it fairly quietly

Tho to answer ur question as to value...100 bucks is a little steep for just the fan. I got the fan and 3ah battery for 70 bucks. That was well worth it
Always goin to be hate cuz of the no plug option but me personally i dont think its a big deal depending on your situation. I have multiple of the plug in option fans cuz it was the only 1 that existed at the time of purchases and they were like $20 each after selling off free battery starter kits. But at work i have over the past few years i have never plugged the fan in even once. Im always jus going to slap a battery in it even if outlet is nearby and its going to last all day. But at home i do see the plug in option as a must. Supposedly this no cord option has more airflow. I would gladly trade some1 if i was offer a plug in option 1 for this 1. Jus 1 time tho

The deals are still quite good if found. This is not the best deal. The battery is not worth 180$. Grey market says 10$ per ah so 50$ value. Puts the fan at 90$ plus tax. Decent price but not great when fastenersinc can have it for 80$ and no tax
I got the older style with plug option and a 3ah kit for $79 about a year ago. Based on 7% inflation and increased battery capacity, I still think the above deal isn't that slick.
This fan is great if you already have a bunch of dewalt batteries. I find myself using this more often in the garage with the battery then the corded fan due to its convenience. It is also great for my sons t ball game. I just set it by the dugout and it helps keeping the kids cool in the 80f heat.

Yeah I picked up a couple of these on a deal last year because I have plenty of batteries already. I already had plug in fans but these are great for portability and move much more air than expected.

Perhaps you mean $75 at Amazon? Or in a 2-pack at Home Depot for $169?

That being said, this price isn't a deal.
