Fuel version of multi-tool is considerably better. I gave my non Fuel version away.

Have the jigsaw too, once I can find someone who wants it, I'll give it away too.

Like all my other m12 stuff, but these two just don't make the cut. Wink
Not hackable if anyone is wondering.

These deals are only good if you don't already have the tools in the combo. In this case I did not, so I bought.

Sometimes I hate being bought into team orange. The red and yellow tools seem so much more diverse.

Team Orange has life time warranty on batteries. At least for the 18v+ tools they make adapters so you can use your current batteries in other tools. Vice versa if you have other brands batteries to work on team Orange.

Can you expand on where these fall short? Especially the oscillating tool. Not things I use a lot so curious if shortcomings are worthy of stepping up to the Fuel line or not.

Why is that?
I get that if you're a full time contractor and you use this stuff every day, you want the best there is. Although, these two tools don't seem like the ones you'd use often. I'm a home DIY guy, so I might use these a few times a year. What did you find wrong with them? I'm not doubting you, I just want to understand.

The fuel multi tool has tool-less change which is handy if you use it all of the time, not so much if you don't. I still wanted it because of convenience so I sold my non fuel and got the fuel. Of course the fuel is more powerful and will get a job done quicker but not by much.

I also have the jigsaw and don't care much for it. That being said, I have never seen a jigsaw that I do like....

I bought this exact kit during the holidays, it's been $149 ever since. The jigsaw is fine but the multi tool is awful, even for diy. I honestly wouldn't even pay $30 for it. Takes forever to cut through lumber, even with a fresh blade. I guess it would be ok for thin plywood, drywall, laminate flooring etc. Difference between this multi tool and the fuel versions are massive.

I have the fuel version of the multitool and I like it. Agree with the others that the fuel version is worth it. I still wouldn't use it to cut lumber though. I used it to cut in baseboard around cabinets and it worked great. the extra lights on the fuel model are beneficial since it is precise work, and I found myself adjusting the position of the blade to give me a better angle when cutting. Being able to make adjustments without a tool while I was lying on the floor was nice.
