Mongoose brings its "push the limits" attitude to mountain bikes. The Standoff has a full suspension frame and front suspension fork so it will be comfortable chewing up rough terrain, and with 21 speeds and thick knobby tires nothing will stand in your way. Take it on the trail or adventure off the trail onto some gnarly single track. There is nothing you can't do on a Mongoose.

Over time it's more economical to get a better build bike, but not everyone has $750+ to spend.

The only caveat is that he uses a front hub motor which I've heard mixed things about as far as safety is concerned. Supposedly rear hub and mid drive are safer in comparison. There are concerns about the amount of torque the front hub motors put on the fork in the front. One mitigation is to use torque arms. But the thought of a malfunction in the front is kind of scary too.

Come for a bike ride on Michigan roads and I guarantee you'll wish you had shocks 🤣
What if I like to ride on smooth, paved mountain roads?
Everyone knows cheap bikes are crap because there is no HDMI. Has Slickdeals taught these people nothing?
