Their conclusion:
"The Vizio OLED is impressive overall; it delivers perfect blacks, and compared to other Vizio TVs we've tested, it doesn't have any issues upscaling lower-resolution content. However, it has too many bugs at launch and its VRR support doesn't actually work. If you don't mind spending a bit more money, the LG BX OLED is a better entry-level option."
Friends dont let other friends buy Vizio OLEDs. Ask just about anyone who had one/has one or at stores about them. Incredibly unreliable and filled with problems.
I remember talking to a best buy floor rep about them late last year and he said when they hit the market there they sold maybe a dozen pretty quickly and within a week or two more than half of them got returned with problems. He said he never recommends them to anyone because of how many returns they get on them and people just arent happy with them.
I wish Vizio would turn around their quality control problems. I'm on my 3rd Vizio P Series Quantum 2018 set. The smart system is buggy and useless, but even bypassing that with my own streaming stick it will randomly turn itself off at times, or have a scrambled picture look to it randomly...they just have so many issues. It's a great picture when it works, but the issues are very annoying.
Vizio tvs do great in review settings with high feature content for a cheap price but they just dont hold up over time.
I've also received the same offer a few days ago but I tried waiting for something lower and since then I haven't received an offer under $1,449. Only 50$ more without taxes and shipping but I'm still waiting for something around $1,300
This TV is garbage. I own the 55". HDR10 is currently broken with no fix in sight. Every 4 months they release a firmware that fixes one issue and creates two more. Vizio does not respond to complaints or have any timeline for software fixes. PS VRR does not work over 60fps, 120HZ doubles frames so not true 120HZ, HDR10 color tones are broken, white point calibration is broken, CEC is broken... They also have discontinued the 55 inch so I suspect as soon as they sell out of the 65" they will forget about this OLED experiment and whatever issues the TV has will be permanent issues.

I have the same set and can speak to the issues. I have less picture issues, but have some with ARC (soundbar disconnects and can't be found) and CEC (white lines flashing sometimes). Haven't hard to return it, but it's still annoying. People are wowed by the picture though, but I doubt I'll buy another vizio when this one croaks.

I have a Vizio M60 that is still running pretty strong 7 years in. I wonder if they've opted for cheaper parts over time? I always hear bad things about them but I've had no issues. My panel is outdated now but at the time I got it, I'd receive compliments all the time because it was right before 55in+ tv's became as commonplace as they are now and before so many budget big screens flooded the market.

This OLED has known software issues that have plagued it since the beginning. The picture quality is textbook OLED (ie amazing) but the software actually makes the TV unusable sometimes.
