There's currently an anniversary sale going on at Sovol. They have a $87 discount on the SV04 IDEX printer, so it costs $512 instead of $599.

The two independent extruders allow you to print models with two different filaments to create prints with multiple colors, print soluble support structures or just to double the print speed if you want to print the identical part or the same part mirrored.
Similar printers would be the Tenlog TL-D3 (more expensive) or the ones that Raise3D sells (way more expensive).

Besides the dual extruders, the SV04 also performs well as a normal 3d printer as well with ABL (automatic bed leveling), E3D Titan direct drive extruders, a modern 32Bit main board with silent stepper motor drivers and a removable, flexible build plate so you can get your prints off easily.

Not really a good deal. These style dual head printers are difficult to maintain and other ones around the price are better

No heated bed?

Other than the auto leveling, this is like the Tenlog TL-D3 which is a bit cheaper and has been around for a while means there are readily available parts, bugs and glitches have been ironed, there's a community and tried and tested.

Of course it has a heated bed, they just didn't put the max. temp in the specs. From what I've read it can go up to 90°C at least. This printer has a 500W power supply, which would not be necessary without a heated bed.

It's not so hard to set it up, you just have to adjust the offset once.

Fair enough but I've had issues with older versions like this where the second head sometimes collided with parts or just didn't play nice.

I'm assuming manufacturers have ironed out those problems by now though. It's probably a worthwhile purchase for some. Just not for myself.

I've had a couple IDEX printers now. This, and the FlashForge Creator 2 Pro. They are interesting, and potentially capable of cool things, but as others have said, they can be a hassle. Even after calibration, dual color mode is difficult and lacking. But the duplicate mode has been useful for me in printing many parts.

The FlashForge was much, much easier to set up and configure. But this one's size far surpasses the FlashForge.

I did send this one back because it had weird freezing issues, seemingly related to firmware, and updating the printer did not help.
